The Four Pillars of Our Jurisdiction
As we build the Church of God in Christ in France, we must build upon strong biblical foundations. Every thriving jurisdiction, every fruitful ministry, and every healthy believer stands upon sound pillars. These four pillars are not mere organizational values; they are biblical mandates that guide our faith, our function, and our future.
Doctrine
Every pastor and church must be committed to teaching, defending, and living the unchanging truth of God’s Word. Our Doctrine is the backbone of the church. It defines what we believe about God, salvation, holiness, and the work of the Holy Spirit. In a world filled with false teachings and moral compromise, sound doctrine preserves our Pentecostal identity and ensures that Christ, not culture, remains our message. When doctrine is pure, the church remains powerful.
Without sound doctrine, faith drifts. Every COGIC France pastor must be a student of the Word and a guardian of truth, ensuring that what is preached in our pulpits aligns with Scripture and our historic holiness heritage.
Evangelism
Every church must be a soul-winning church. Evangelism is not optional; it is the heartbeat of God.
The Great Commission is still our great command. France may be a secular nation, but the gospel still saves. Evangelism revives our churches and keeps us outward-focused rather than inward-satisfied. Whether through street ministry, personal witness, or community service, every believer is a messenger of hope.
A church that stops evangelizing starts dying. As pastors, we must train, inspire, and mobilize our members to reach the lost. Our jurisdiction will thrive only as we prioritize the salvation of souls.
Education
Invest in spiritual and practical learning for both leaders and members.
Education strengthens understanding and prepares the saints for service. We are called not only to shout but also to study. Through biblical training, discipleship classes, leadership seminars, and ministerial preparation, we equip the saints for the work of ministry. Ignorance weakens the church; knowledge empowers it. As we raise a new generation of Spirit-filled, Spirit-led believers in France, we must cultivate minds that are sharp, disciplined, and anchored in truth.
Stewardship
Teach and model faithful stewardship of time, talent, and treasure.
Everything we have belongs to God. Stewardship is not just about giving money; it’s about managing life with integrity and gratitude. A faithful steward honors God through generosity, service, and excellence in every duty. When pastors and members practice stewardship, God releases increase and sustainability.
There must be greater emphasis on giving at all levels. Each member of the local assembly must tithe 10% and give cheerfully in the offering. Each local church must tithe 10% monthly into the jurisdiction account. These funds will be available for the maintenance, growth, and needs of the jurisdiction.
When we build upon these four pillars, the Church of God in Christ France will not only stand strong, it will thrive, multiply, and glorify Christ in this nation.
Benefits of Serving in COGIC FRANCE Jurisdiction
- Unity with sound doctrine and the teaching of COGIC doctrine to ensure that church members have all the knowledge necessary to follow Jesus Christ and inherit God’s plan for His disciples.
- A godly bond and association that provides mutual support for the fulfillment of the Great Commission through member churches.
- The accountability and oversight relationship of the various COGIC leaders is available to ensure that no church falls from the grace of God bestowed upon it.
- Constant and regular ministerial fellowship at all levels to enhance fraternal care in the Body of Christ.
- A system of cover and protection against predatory behavior for church members from any falling leader
- A vehicle for members to use, express, and exercise their God-given talents and gifts by being placed in leadership roles above those of a local church, but at the district, jurisdictional, regional, national, and international levels within our church structure.
- A vehicle that provides each member with the opportunity to give back to God through service in a variety of church auxiliaries that can take place in their local jurisdiction as well as around the world.
- An opportunity to quickly expand your network of support for the vision God has personally given you for the church and to enable it to receive support from others with their time, talent and financial contributions
- The personal fulfillment and satisfaction of being connected to a movement of God that collectively functions as a center of excellence for fulfilling the Great Commission with reusable materials and tools that benefit from it.
- A culture that promotes Phil 4:13 and a mindset that allows an individual and a church to be better off for the experience of being connected to the church. This elevates our thinking and, in turn, our own accomplishments in life, from one who believes they must have financial help to one who changes the world by taking advantage of every opportunity that presents itself.
- Be connected to one of the fastest growing multicultural denominations in the world with over 6.5 million members today established in over 100 countries and counting.
- Belonging to a church with a Missions department that has a strong emphasis on fulfilling the Great Commission.
